Ballan Autumn Festival
The Main Street of Ballan will come alive once again with the
Ballan Autumn Festival on Saturday 27 March.
This is a jam-packed family event, with a big parade, bands,
amusements, dozens of stalls, concer ts and an ar t show, to
name just a few of the many highlights.
Crowds will line Inglis Street for the parade of school groups,
community groups and vintage cars and machinery.
There are also many rides and exhibits, including sheep
shearing -- fun for all ages. For fur ther information contact

Ballan Art Show -- Thursday March 25 -- Sunday March 28
Run in conjunction with Ballan Autumn Festival, the Show
attracts ar tists and visitors from Moorabool and throughout
Victoria. This is a very popular event and a must see item
ever y year. It will be held in the Council Chamber s, 15 Stead

Ballan Quilt and Craft Show
Held in conjunction with the Ballan Autumn Festival, the
Quilt and Craft Show features woodwork and a display of
local craft work including cross stitch, fine embroider y,
knitting, dolls and bear s, and beautiful quilts all made in the

Greendale Drive-In Movie - Saturday 17 April
Come and experience the relaxed wonder of outdoor
cinema at the famous Greendale Drive-In.
By popular demand this fun event is back at the Egans
Reser ve, at the bargain price of just $25 per car.
And this year's film is Old Dogs, a comedy starring Robin
Williams and John Travolta. It is a fun family movie about two
bachelors, whose lives are turned upside down when they
have to care for 7-year-old twins and their dog.
Car spaces are expected to fill up fast, so get in early.
Historic Myrniong Car Sprint
The classic cars of yester year will be gunning their engines in
the Historic Myrniong Car Sprint on Sunday 11 April.
About 80 beautifully restored and maintained car s - vintage
and historic racing cars, spor ts cars and sedans from 1920 --
1975 - are expected to compete on an 850m stretch along
Korobeit Rd, which will be closed for the day's activities.

Run by the Myrniong Hall Committee, the powered event is
a ver y successful fundraiser for the continuing restoration of
the Hall. Last year about $5000 was raised and the
committee is hopeful of a similar amount this year to build a
new front door and entranceway.
Blackwood Easter Woodchop
The annual Blackwood Easter Woodchop is renowned state-
wide and is a tourist destination each Easter.
Blackwood is an ideal place to stay over Easter and the town
is a buzz with excitement for this established event, held this
year on April 3.
