The Customer Service Charter
Moorabool Shire Council is committed to being accountable
for its customer service to the community. The Customer
Service Charter clearly defines Council's high service
standards. Council services a diverse and proactive
community and view the community and colleagues as
equally important customers.
Copies of Council's Customer Service Charter can be
obtained by contacting Customer Service on 5366 7100 or
at any Council office.
After Hours Service
If you call Council after hours on 5366 7100, you can leave
a message on the answering machine. Messages will be
responded to on the next working day. If the call is related
to an emergency your call will be transferred through to the

Council has two community buses available for hire, one in
Ballan (12 seats including driver) and the other in Bacchus
Marsh (7 seats including driver). To hire either of these
buses you can contact Customer Service on 5366 7100.
Customer Service Centres
Council Customer Service Centres are located in Ballan,
Darley and Bacchus Marsh creating a centralised system
whereby requests and enquiries can be dealt with more
efficiently and effectively. You can contact Customer
Service Officers on 5366 7100.
Customer Service Officers will be able to assist you directly
with any of the following;
• All general enquiries
• General rates enquiries
• General planning enquiries
• Community bus and hall hire
• General Local Law enquiries
If your request cannot be handled directly by a Customer
Service Officer, you can be assured that the request you
have made will be referred to the appropriate Council
All requests are lodged in Council's Customer Request
Management System and you will be quoted a request
number for ease of tracking.
